The Online Audio Test consists of:

Transcription Test : You need to transcribe and submit files () for evaluation of your transcription skills.

I) Getting Ready : Before you begin the test please read the following instructions carefully :

1.   You will need a player (Express Scribe recommended) to play audio files. If you do not have a compatible audio player, you can download the same by clicking on the link: http://www.nch.com.au/scribe
2.   You will need MS Word installed on your PC. No other format is acceptable.
3.   Please note in case you do not clear the Online Audio Test the first time, you can take Online Audio Test at intervals of 1 months (max 12 attempts in a year).


II) Getting Started :

1.   Our online audio test process is user friendly. You can start by clicking on "Start Test" button which appears at the bottom of the web page.
2.   Download the voice files by clicking on the link provided for first audio file (for example test001.wav) and save it on your PC.
3.   After downloading the file, transcribe the report in MS Word document file and save it. To upload the transcribed file on our server click on the BROWSE button, select the file and click on upload. Please note that we will monitor the time taken for you to transcribe based on the time stamp.
4.   In case you have Office 2007, while saving the file please select file type as Word 97-2003 Document format from Save as Type.
5.   You cannot download next audio file unless you have uploaded the previous file. Similar procedure should be followed for all audio files.

IMP NOTE: Please browse our website using Internet Explorer version 6 or above.

III) Tips for better performance in your On Line Audio Test :

1.   Ensure that you have at least 3-4 hrs free with you. Even though breaks are permitted in between two files, it is recommended that you finish all the files in one go.
2.   Keep saving your document as often as possible.
3.   Ensure that the spell checker function in MS Word is activated. Your files will be negatively marked for any spelling errors that you make.
